Windows Server 2016 Knowledge Update

The course is designed to provide participants with a detailed introduction to management, networking, Active Directory and Hyper-V virtualization development, among others. The course will only partially cover migration / migration issues from legacy systems. The course covers the topics covered in Microsoft's Upgrading Your Skills to Windows Server 2016 MCSA course code 20743.

The course is recommended for IT professionals and administrators who are already experienced in operating previous versions of systems and who will be responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining Windows Server 2016-based infrastructure in the near future.

• Windows Server 2016 overview, important new features and changes.
• Windows Server 2016 installation, Nano Server installation; post-installation configuration tasks for Windows Server 2016; preparing for upgrading and migrating from previous systems, migrating server roles and features; Windows Server 2016 activation models.
• Storage management news: overview; using File Server Resource Manager; iSCSI storage configuration; redundant storage configuration using Storage Spaces; implementing data deduplication.
• Active Directory news: deploying AD DS domain controllers, DC cloning, managing service accounts, overview and use of Azure AD.
• Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) implementation: overview, AD FS installation, implementing AD FS in a standalone organization, installing and implementing Web Application Proxy, managing Azure AD FS services using Microsoft Online Services.
• Network Services Management: overview of what's new, IP addressing management using IPAM, implementing DNS policies, creating fault-tolerant DHCP, configuring IPAM.

Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 technology skills and at least one year of operational experience (network, Active Directory, Hyper-V). Previous MCSA certification is an advantage. As the course materials are in English, a basic level of English at document reading level is required. The course will be conducted in Hungarian.
