- Exchange Server 2016 implementation: installation and deployment requirements, server role overview and installation, Exchange Server 2016 installation solutions, post-installation tasks.
- Overview and use of Exchange Server 2016 graphical and command-line (EMS) administrative tools.
- Design and implementation of mailbox servers: deployment planning, storage planning and configuration, mailbox database configuration and implementation.
- Management and configuration of addressable objects: mailboxes, recipients/users, mailing list and contacts policies, address list management; management of public folders.
- Using Exchange Management Shell: Powershell basics, using EMS to manage recipients, managing and automating Exchange 2016 administrative tasks using EMS.
- Implementing client access: installing and configuring Client Access Service, configuring Outlook 2016 and Outlook Web App, configuring synchronization (ActiveSync), configuring support for mobile communication.
- Designing and implementing High Availability (HA): overview, basic concepts, Exchange 2016 support; configuring HA mailboxes; configuring HA Client Access Server; implementing DAG, creating and configuring database availability groups.
- Disaster protection: design guidelines and options; Exchange 2016 backup and restore design and implementation; Exchange Server DAG member restore.
- Managing, tracking, troubleshooting message traffic; configuring Internet message traffic; managing message traffic rules and data loss prevention policies.
- Manage Exchange Server 2016 security: implement antivirus, antispam and malware protection solutions, configure and test EdgeSync; configure messaging server (Edge Transport Server), configure secure web and network connections (SMTP, S/MIME).
- Exchange Online integration design and implementation: overview of Office365 and Exchange Online, integration requirements, migration and collaboration, Exchange Online management.
- Exchange Server 2016 monitoring and troubleshooting, database troubleshooting, client access service troubleshooting.
- Securing Exchange Server 2016: configuring role-based access control (RBAC), configuring security settings for server roles in Exchange 2016, configuring secure Internet access; auditing and logging; managing updates.
Prerequisites
Windows Server 2012 or 2016 comprehensive operator knowledge. As the course materials are in English, a basic level of English at document reading level is required. The presentation will be in Hungarian.
