Attention! Starting February 24, 2020, Cisco's exam system will undergo a radical transformation. What does this actually mean? Certain previously existing certifications will be discontinued, and others will be transformed .

If you have started working towards your current certification, feel free to continue, but it's good to know: you have until February 23, 2020 to take the current exams.

What are Cisco's policies?

Cisco offers a multi-level, build-on-one certification path based on knowledge level and professional specification (e.g. routing & switching, security, collaboration, data centers, etc.).

What transformations are in prospect?

Are you interested in automation, security, and programmability? The new CCNA program is designed to prepare you for today's associate-level jobs in IT technologies. The program covers a wide range of IT career fundamentals. An exam and training will help you do this.

The new CCNA certification covers a number of topics:

Cisco certification levels

From Entry level to Architect

Being human is not an exam (...),
it is not something that someone passes or fails.

Neil Gaiman

The Associate level, where we previously distinguished 10 certifications, has now been reduced to three. Don't be fooled by the quantity, as these certifications contain more knowledge. The DevNet Associate (DEVASC 200-901); CCNA Cyber Ops and CCNA represent the core.

You could previously earn eight certifications at the Professional level, now that means six:

  • DevNet Professional (DEVCOR 350-901)

  • Cisco Data Center (350-601 DCCOR)
