New Business Analyst Simulation (Business Analyst Development Series Part III)
Description
In today's unthinkable world without IT, the role of the business analyst is expanding and broadening. The International Institute of Business Analysis defines the business analyst's job as one of defining needs, focusing on what the system should do rather than how the system should work. Therefore, the analyst is now expected to have a deeper understanding of the business problem and not necessarily only propose IT solution(s) to the business problem, but also to focus on related non-automated activities such as re-designing forms, changing job descriptions, training, etc.
Therefore, this module of the training will focus on Business Process Management ("Business Process Management - BPM" - as a tool) and simple principles will be applied in a simulation exercise, which is an excellent intensive and interactive group learning opportunity. The aim of the simulation is to show how, through the playful use of process analysis/process improvement and by drawing on the different competences of the participants (e.g. professional knowledge, skills and attitudes), both group and individual performance can be improved.
The simulation allows participants to explore, analyse and understand basic business processes and solve typical business/process problems. A major benefit of simulation is that it playfully confronts participants with real business/project situations and problems and gives them the opportunity to experience the consequences of their decisions in real time.
