AIX Basics
Description
The basic course is designed for those who need basic AIX/UNIX user skills to work in an AIX environment and perform everyday tasks.
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Log in to AIX, set a user password, and Set up a user account
- Use the AIX online documentation
- Use AIX files and libraries
- Familiarize themselves with the Shell scripting language
- Use the vi editor
- Be able to execute AIX commands and run AIX processes manage
- Customize the working environment
- Be able to use the most important AIX utilities
- Be able to write simple shell scripts
- Be able to use the AIXWindows environment
- Be able to use the common desktop environment
Suggested For
The official IBM training is recommended for IT professionals, support staff and operators who will be responsible for the use and support of IBM AIX systems and who want to learn the basics. The training also provides the necessary pre-requisites for the AIX Operator course (AN12G, Power Systems for AIX, Implementation and Administration).

Prerequisites
Linux or Windows operating basics, network basics. As the training materials are in English, a basic level of English at document reading level is recommended to effectively process the training material. The training is conducted in Hungarian.
