Data analysis in Excel using statistical tools
Trainer recommendation

Jámbor István trainer
Excel is an excellent tool, and with the help of basic statistical tools, the training will teach us to target data with pinpoint precision. Using simple mathematical knowledge, we’ll understand the basics of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series analysis, making the course immediately applicable for anyone who makes decisions based on data analysis.
Description
Deeper analyses are possible using Excel's statistical functions, so the training will introduce the use of statistical methodologies and descriptive statistical elements in Excel. The course will provide an insight into the use of Excel Data Analysis Pak, allowing you to learn how to perform interval estimation, hypothesis, trend calculations and other statistical calculations in Excel through practical examples.
Outline
- Statistical methodologies
- Elements of descriptive statistics: means, extremes, data plots (e.g. Box Jenkins)
- Sample and population, sample size, sampling
- Interval estimation, estimating means, comparing samples
- Hypothesis testing
- Regression and trend calculation
- Trend analysis, time series analysis, data smoothing
- T-test, Chi Square, etc.
- MS Excel: Data Analysis plug-in (Analysis Toolpak)
Prerequisites
To successfully complete the training, you will need to have an advanced level of Excel skills and experience. Basic statistical knowledge is an advantage.
